Hello, how are you?? In this post I decided to share my experience in creating (editing) videos for the channel. Tell me, step by step, so to speak, how I create my videos and what programs I use. I won’t drag out the introduction, so let’s get started))
First, let’s start with what format is on my channel (I can immediately foresee thoughts, but it doesn’t matter to me what your channel is about, let’s get closer to the point, so to get to the point, I need to tell you a little about the specifics of my channel). I am creating trailers for the game, which I release on the day the game is released. Phew fit into one sentence, I thought there would be more)) To make it more clear, I’ll divide my entire story into points.
Point one: Setting up and searching for information.
For me, this point is the most difficult, since my brain is trying with all its might to stop me. Every time I start creating a new video, my brain starts to rebel. But I believe that you definitely don’t have such problems and ideas in your head, just have time to write them down! Since we are considering creating a trailer, we need to download a lot of different video material on a specific topic. In this case, let’s take Rage 2 as an example. So, in order to download video material to my computer, I use the Ummy video downloader program. You can download it for free on the Internet without much difficulty. This program allows you to download videos from yuotube in FullHD resolution. So I enter Rage 2 into the search engine, look for a video that suits me and click download.
In this simple way I collect the necessary material. The end result is something like this:
This completes the first stage, but https://wgcasino.uk/bonus/ in the process of creating a video, more video material may be required, so sometimes you have to return to the first stage.
Stage two: watching video material and selecting suitable music.
At this stage, we are watching the video material and selecting suitable music. I’m also estimating the approximate style of the trailer, depending on the pace and type of game in question.
Stage three: Video cutting.
This stage is the most labor-intensive and most important relative to the rest. For video cutting (video editing) I use Sony Vegas Pro 13.0. The program can also be easily found on the Internet, downloaded and installed on your computer according to the instructions. It looks like this at work:
We insert music into the audio track (to do this, simply drag the music from the folder into the Vegas Pro program and start cutting the video to the music. To do this, we use the main functions of Vegas Pro, such as: trimming, reverse, slow down/speed up video, etc.d. If you want to know in more detail how it works, write in the comments, and I will make a more detailed analysis of these functions, how they work and how to use them. As a result, after several hours of hard work, the result is something like this:
In principle, you can finish this, render the video, post it on the channel and that’s it, but for me it’s a little damp and needs to be added color. Oh yes, I completely forgot, after cutting the video, we copy a piece of the resulting pie at the end (usually I take the moment of the chorus, where the most interesting events happen) and paste it at the very end, while not forgetting to turn down the music. This is necessary in order to put up screensavers at the end with a subscription to the channel and recommendations for watching other videos (a small life hack so as not to spoil the main part of the video with unnecessary information).
Stage Four: Adding an Intro, Channel Icons and Rendering the Video.
Like all people who respect their content, I insert an intro before the start of the video. It’s a bit like a herd mentality, WE DO EVERYTHING INTRO. But in defense, I will say that through the intro you can show the idea of your channel, which, in my opinion, is a very convenient function. I’ll tell you a little about the essence of my intro, the idea is that it shows a cut of gameplay moments from videos that have already been released on the channel, a video that I’m making at the moment and a video that will be released soon. All this is naturally accompanied by music and with the channel name at the very end of the intro. T.e. each new video is a slightly changed intro (essentially it’s a new intro with the insertion of the next video that will be released on the channel and a slightly revised sequence of gameplay inserts.) The channel name is created in Adobe After Effect. Just like Vegas Pro, it can be downloaded from the Internet without any problems. This program allows you to create a huge range of different effects for video. In this case, I use the effect of fiery letters (for this you need to install the “Saber” plugin in After Effect). As a result, before rendering it looks like this:
Also, if you want a more detailed story about how these letters magically appear, write in the comments and I will tell you how to make a beautiful design for text and not only text in Adobe After Effect. After creating the letters, you need to render them, for this I use the following settings presset:
After creating the letters, we return to the Vegas Pro program, where we made the cutting for the intro
And put the resulting letters on the video. By the way, for a very long time I was looking for information on how to overlay a video on a video so that something like this wouldn’t happen:
